Pakistan Refuses To Join Meeting On Locust IssueWQith India, Says Anurag Srivastava

Mumbai: Spokesperson of MEA Anurag Srivastava said on Thursday that Pakistan has refused to join meeting on Locust management issue which was supposed to be held today.

“As far as available information, Pakistan has refused to join this meeting and it was proposed to be held today,” said Anurag Srivastava, MEA Spokesperson on meeting between India and Pakistan on locust management.

A high-level technical meeting was supposed to held today was India had proposed for joint locust control operations and facilitate the supply of pesticides.

Anurag Srivastava while addressing the media also confirmed India’s participation in RIC (Russia-India-China) foreign minister meeting.

“While we remain convinced of the need for maintenance of peace & tranquillity on border areas & resolution of differences through dialogue, at the same time as PM said yesterday, we are strongly committed to ensuring India’s sovereignty & territorial integrity,” he further said.
