Pakistan Termed CAB As ‘Discriminatory’ Says It’s Complete Violation Of UDHR

The Bill will now be tabled in the Rajya Sabha for its nod

Mumbai: As soon as the Lok Sabha passed the Citizenship Amendment Bill with 311-80 votes, Pakistan termed the bill as ‘discriminatory’ and said that the latest law is in complete violation of various bilateral agreements with India, especially the protection of minorities and about the rights related to Muslims.

In a statement, Pakistan’s Foreign Office stated that the bill is “based on lies and in complete violation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international covenants on the abolition of all forms of discrimination on the basis of religion or belief”.
