Pakistan Will Not Try To Infiltrate Like Kargil In Coming Years: Army Chief Bipin Rawat
Mumbai: Lambasting over Pakistan Army chief Gen Bipin Rawat said that “Pakistan will not dare to attempt to infiltrate India like it did Kargil in 1999 because it has “seen the consequences.”
He was talking to journalists on the occasion of the completion of 20 years of India’s limited war operation Vijay against Kargil in Pakistan.
Rawat said, “There is no such area which we have left. Our monitoring team is closely monitoring and patrolling the areas regularly.”
The army chief said, “We do not think that Pakistan will do such a thing as (during Kargil) because they have seen the results … I can clearly say, in coming days and years, Pakistan will not dare to attempt any infiltration.”
On the other hand, he also released a video of a special tribute song written by Sameer, a Bollywood songwriter dedicated to Kargil heroes. The video is hosted by Bollywood’s Megastar Amitabh Bachchan and other film personalities.
