Pakistani Lawyer Admits Kashmir Belongs To India

Mumbai: Pakistan Council Member Khawar Qureshi on Tuesday said that Kashmir is an inalienable part of India.

Pakistan has been continuously pleading the international powers to intervene in the Kashmir issue and all of Pakistan’s pleas have gone in vain.

The Pakistani lawyer who represented Pakistan in the international court of justice during the Kulbhushan Jadhav Case passed an embarrassing statement for Pakistan. He said that for anyone in the world Kashmir might seem an inseparable part of India.

Lawyer Khawar Qureshi said, “Perhaps it is not so clear internationally as it is here in Pakistan. Here people see the situation very clearly but internationally the situation is not so clear. So, anybody looking at India and Pakistan and what is going on in Kashmir by sitting elsewhere may have a different view and they may see Jammu and Kashmir as an inalienable part of India.”

This admission by a Pakistani person has been an embarrassment for Pakistan. Moreover, If anyone checked out the pact and other documents related to article 370, any person could understand that the Maharaja of J&K had merged up with India to save the state from Pakistan’s aggression.

Pakistan’s constant efforts are been thwarted by India. India has been firm on its place by saying that the Kashmir Issue is an internal matter and no country including Pakistan had the right to intervene in India’s matters.

On August 5, 2019, the Indian government abrogated the article 370 which provided special status to the state after which the Pakistani PM Imran khan tried to take the issue to the UN. But the other members voted in favour of India and asked to solve the issue between both the countries through dialogue without other country’s intervention.
