Pankaja Munde Clears All Rumours, Says Won’t Quit BJP

Mumbai: Bharatiya Janata Party leader Pankaj Munde cleared all the rumours here said she would not leave the party. The former minister, however, added that she is no longer a member of the BJP’s state core team.

Addressing a rally in Beed district of Maharashtra today on the occasion of the birth anniversary of his late father Gopinath Munde, Pankaja said that it is for the BJP to decide whether to allow it to remain in the party.

He said, “Defeat in an election does not bother me. Circumstances are being created that I should leave. But I am not going to leave the party. However, if the party wants to leave me, it can take a decision,” she said in the presence of many top BJP leaders, including Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrakant Patil.

She also announced to hold a torch rally in Maharashtra from January 2020.

“I will start my work from the Mumbai office on 26 January through the Gopinath Munde Foundation to attract the government’s attention on the issues of Marathwada region… I will also organize a fast in Aurangabad on 27 January.”

During the rally, Pankaja Munde made a reference to the news of her cousin and NCP leader Dhananjay Munde facing defeat in Parli constituency as some BJP leaders (Devendra Fadnavis read that he would not win from them Wanted) seat.

Munde left the state BJP core committee meeting in Mumbai on Tuesday.
