Parliament Session: Nation Will Never Forgive People Behind Emergency, PM Narendra Modi

Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, reminded the memories of Emergency in the Lok Sabha Election.

He said that those responsible for the Emergency will never be absolved of their sins.

“Who applied the Emergency? Who tricked the spirit of the Constitution, drove the media and threatened the judiciary? We can not forget those black days,” he said.

Speaking about the announcement of the Emergency, PM Modi said that “the soul of the country was crushed” to save somebody’s power “.

PM Modi said, “On the fierce night of June 25, the country’s soul was crushed, the voice crushed the country’s media, the leaders were put behind the bars to save somebody’s seat. It went against the judicial system.”

Nation will not forgive those who were responsible for the act nor can it go back to the dark days of the Emergency.

“Those who were a part of the act [Emergency] will never miss their sins. It is important to remember the day to remind yourself again, and never again can anyone imagine theft of democracy in India. The way it was done during the Emergency. “

The emergency was imposed in India from June 25, 1975, to March 21, 1977.
