Parliament Session: President Ramnath Kovind Marks Water Crisis In Country

Mumbai: President Ram Nath Kovind today underlined the water crisis in almost half of the country.
He said that the nation needs to work continuously to save water for future generations.

We have to save water for our children and future generations. President Kovind said that the creation of the Ministry of Water Resources in this regard is a decisive step.

It has been said in the report that about 60 crore people are facing excessive water stress and about two lakh people are dying every year due to inadequate access to safe water. Released by the title, the overall water management index and Water Resources Minister Nitin Gadkari, the report expressed the fear that the water crisis could deteriorate in the days to come.

President Kovind’s comment about the water crisis, in the context of a policy report released on June 14, emphasized that India is suffering from the worst water crisis in its history.
