Gehlot told reporters after visiting the rally venue at Vidyadhar Nagar here, “The Center is not even listening to the problems of the countrymen, be it inflation which is troubling the common man or anything related to farmers, they don’t care at all.”

Gehlot said, “They (central government) are showing great arrogance. People will teach them a lesson in the times to come.” Also Read: PM Apologised For Farm Laws, But How Will He Atone For It?: Rahul Gandhi

He said it was unfortunate that the party was not allowed to hold a rally in the national capital.

Gehlot said, “Inflation is an issue across the country. Why was the proposed rally not allowed? It would only represent the sentiments of the entire country.”

The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has called for the ‘Mahagai Hatao Rally’ on December 12 against the rising inflation in the country, which will now be held in Jaipur instead of New Delhi.

Congress general secretary KC Venugopal and state in-charge Ajay Maken arrived here on Friday to take stock of the preparations for the rally.

The Congress leader accompanied Gehlot to the proposed rally site.

Gehlot thanked party leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi for choosing Jaipur for this rally and said that people from across the state and country would come to make this rally a success.
