PIA Flight Carrying 107 Passengers Crashed Near Karachi, Minute Before Landing

Mumbai: Pakistan international airlines flight carrying 99 passengers and eight crew members crashed in a residential colony near Karachi airport.

PIA spokesman Abdullah Hafeez said the Flight 8303 was carrying 99 passengers and eight crew members from Lahore to Karachi. The damage including casualties is being asserted.

Pak PM Imran Khan expressed his shock over the incident. “Shocked & saddened by the PIA crash. Am in touch with PIA CEO Arshad Malik, who has left for Karachi & with the rescue & relief teams on ground as this is the priority right now. Immediate inquiry will be instituted. Prayers & condolences go to families of the deceased,” he tweeted.

Flight crashed in Model colony near Karachi airport which is mainly a slum area. Smoke fumes were seen at the crash sites many agencies reported. More details are awaited.
