PM Modi is likely to address the floor of both the Houses on the pandemic at 6 pm on Tuesday

Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked BJP MPs to ensure that they are quick to counter the Opposition’s allegation against the Centre regarding COVID-19 response and the availability of vaccines in India.

In the BJP Parliamentary Party meeting, PM Modi urged the MPs to keep telling the truth to the people about the defeat propagated by the opposition, especially Congress.

Sources said the prime minister expressed concern over the Congress’s sense of authority which is also preventing them to even fulfil their role as opposition.

He said, “Congress is not worried about its voter base (Jan Aadhar). And still, there is a sense of entitlement that it has ruled the country for 60 years and it is because of this that they haven’t been able to digest the fact that people have chosen us. He said despite their fate in elections of West Bengal, Assam they aren’t fulfiling their responsibility as opposition.”

PM Modi said as an opposition, they should take up issues of people’s welfare strongly which they aren’t doing,” stated the source.
