PM Modi Gets Kuwait’s Highest Honour ‘Order of Mubarak Al Kabeer’

Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi was awarded Kuwait’s highest honor, ‘The Order of Mubarak Al Kabeer,’ during his state visit to the Gulf nation on Sunday. This prestigious knighthood order, previously conferred upon global leaders like Bill Clinton, Prince Charles, and George Bush, is awarded to Heads of State and foreign sovereigns as a mark of friendship.
This accolade marks the 20th international award received by PM Modi, further underscoring his global recognition. During the ceremonial event at the Bayan Palace, PM Modi was accorded a grand ceremonial welcome, including a guard of honor, in the presence of the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
The Prime Minister also held extensive talks with the Amir, Crown Prince, and Prime Minister of Kuwait, focusing on strengthening bilateral ties.
PM Modi’s recognition in Kuwait follows his recent accolades in other nations. Last month, during his visit to Guyana, he was conferred with the country’s highest national honor, The Order of Excellence.
Expressing his gratitude, Modi said, “I express my heartfelt gratitude to my friend President Irfaan Ali for conferring upon me Guyana’s highest award. This is a living proof of your deep commitment to our relations which will continue to inspire us to move forward in every field.”
Additionally, he was honored with the Dominica Award of Honour by President Sylvanie Burton of Dominica. Reflecting on the achievement, PM Modi remarked, “I am honoured to be conferred the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Order by His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al Sabah. I dedicate this honour to the people of India and to the strong friendship between India and Kuwait.”
The state visit to Kuwait underscores the growing international recognition of India’s leadership and the strengthening of diplomatic relations with nations across the globe.
