PM Modi Interacts With Beneficiaries Of Swamitva; Distributes 1.70 Lakhs Property Cards

Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday interacted with the beneficiaries of the Swamitva (Survey of Villages And Mapping With Improvised Technology In Village Areas) scheme in Madhya Pradesh via videoconferencing.

In his address, PM Modi appreciated Madhya Pradesh for its fast pace work under the scheme and said that now it will expand to other states as well.

In the initial stage, the PM Svamitva scheme was launched in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab and Karnataka in some villages. In these states, property cards have been made for 22 lakh families,” said Prime Minister Modi.

He also distributed e-property cards to 1,71,000 beneficiaries under the scheme on the occasion.

Modi said, “It was launched as a pilot project. We’re expanding this in other states of the nation. MP worked on this scheme at a fast pace & deserve appreciation for it. Today, over 1.70 lakh families of 3000 villages received property card ‘Adhikar Abhilekh’ that will bring prosperity.”

PM Modi focused on eradicating village poverty and said that the Swamtiva Scheme is going to help in accomplishing it.

“It is very important to remove country’s villages, village property, land and house records from uncertainty and mistrust. That’s why PM Swamitva scheme is going to become a huge strength of our brothers and sisters in the village,” PM Modi added.
