PM Modi Vows To End Paper Leaks, Mafias If BJP Wins Jharkhand
Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing a large rally in Bokaro on Sunday, promised strict action against “paper-leak mafias” and “recruitment mafias” if the BJP comes to power in Jharkhand. Modi accused the ruling JMM-Congress coalition of fostering these mafias, which he claims have manipulated recruitment processes, negatively impacting youth employment prospects.
Drawing comparisons to Haryana, where he said the BJP eliminated corrupt practices in government hiring, Modi emphasized that BJP governance would ensure transparent and merit-based employment opportunities. “In Haryana, we removed the ‘kharchi-parchi’ system of bribery and favoritism. We will bring the same reforms to Jharkhand,” he asserted.
Modi also highlighted BJP-led development initiatives in Jharkhand, including the renovation of over 50 railway stations, the direct disbursement of funds to farmers via PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, and the establishment of an airport in Bokaro to improve connectivity. He added that the reopening of the Sindri fertilizer factory has already generated jobs, part of the BJP’s efforts to revitalize Jharkhand’s industrial sector.
Promising to safeguard Jharkhand’s future from “infiltrators,” Modi called for a BJP victory to ensure security and economic growth. Additionally, he accused Congress and JMM of trying to divide SC, ST, and OBC communities for electoral gain, referring to Congress’s history of “divide and rule” politics.
The 81-seat Jharkhand Assembly elections will be held in two phases on November 13 and 20, with results expected on November 23.
