PM Narendra Modi To Hold Mega Road Show In Varanasi

Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will perform a mega road show in his Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi on Thursday. The roadshow will also be accompanied by Union Minister, the Chief Minister of the state and other senior BJP leaders will be included.

Modi, who will be filing his nomination papers for Varanasi Lok Sabha seat on Friday, will launch his roadshow first on the statue of Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya, founder of Banaras Hindu University.

The top leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party, including Union Ministers Sushma Swaraj, Nitin Gadkari, Piyush Goyal and Nirmala Sitharaman, are also expected to join BJP chief Amit Shah and chief ministers of BJP-ruled states.

Meanwhile, JD(U) president Nitish Kumar and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray will accompany Modi as he files his nomination around 11.30 am on Friday.

“In this (Nomination) program, a senior leader of Akali Dal and former Chief Minister (Punjab) Mr Prakash Singh Badal, Chief Minister of Bihar and Chief Minister of Bihar Mr Nitish Kumar, Shivsena Chief Uddhav Thakre, Union Minister and Chairman of Lok Janshakti. The party’s Ram Vilas Paswan will be present,” the party was told in the press release.

“At 11.30 am, PM will file his nomination for Varanasi Lok Sabha seat,” said the BJP.

The party said that the roadshow will extend up to six kilometres, through the way of Godola, from the Lankan region to Dashashmeshh Ghat.
