Mumbai: Prior to the end of the election, PM Narendra Modi arrived here on a two-day visit, during which he will perform Darshan-Puja in the temples of the Himalayas of Kedarnath and Badrinath.
He reached Jolly Grant Airport this morning. DGP (Law and Order) Ashok Kumar said that strict security arrangements have been made for the Prime Minister’s visit.
The prime minister’s visit to Uttarakhand comes a day after campaigning for the general election came to a close.
At the beginning of this month, the two temples of the two temples were re-opened for the devotees after the winter holidays.
This would be the fourth visit to Kedarnath in the last two years. Nearly 5 days before the results of Lok Sabha Election PM decided to dedicate his time to Lord Shiva and later on he is scheduled to look after the development and will make sure the pending works to be completed.
