Policeman Films Couple Romancing On Moving Bike In Jashpur, Issues Challan
Mumbai: A shocking incident has surfaced on the internet, capturing a couple engaging in a perilous romantic stunt on a highway in Chhattisgarh’s Jashpur district. The daring act, which involved the couple riding a KTM bike with the girl positioned on the petrol tank facing the rider, was captured on camera and has since gone viral on social media.
The Superintendent of Police (SP) of Jashpur, Shashi Mohan Singh, intercepted the couple in the midst of their dangerous manoeuvre and promptly issued a challan against the rider, identified as Vinay. It was revealed that Vinay was attempting the stunt in a bid to impress his girlfriend, identified as Suhani, aged 18.
The incident unfolded on National Highway (NH)-43, where SP Shashi Mohan Singh encountered the couple while returning from Kunkuri. Despite wearing a helmet, Vinay’s reckless behavior drew the attention of the SP, who captured the stunt on video as evidence.
In response to the incident, SP Shashi Mohan Singh emphasized the grave dangers associated with such stunts and urged the public to refrain from engaging in such risky behavior. He reiterated the importance of parental vigilance and cautioned that strict action would be taken against anyone found perpetrating such stunts in the future.
Vinay and Suhani, who claimed to have been visiting Mayali dam at the time of the stunt, were promptly stopped and interrogated by the authorities. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the perils of reckless behavior on the roads and underscores the need for greater awareness and responsibility among road users.
As the video continues to circulate on social media platforms, sparking widespread condemnation and calls for greater road safety measures, authorities remain vigilant in their efforts to enforce strict adherence to traffic regulations and ensure the safety of all commuters.
