Pregnant Woman Gang-Raped, Set Ablaze In MP: Battle For Life

Mumbai: A 34-year-old pregnant woman was raped by 3 men and set ablaze in Morena, MP. Suffering 80% burns, she’s critical in Gwalior. The incident stemmed from a dispute over rape accusations. Shockingly, she was assaulted instead of finding a resolution. Investigations are ongoing. The victim’s husband provided crucial evidence.
According to him, the event happened on Friday at Chand Ka Pura hamlet, which is around 3 miles from Ambah town.
Inspector Alok Parihar of the Ambah police station told PTI that the victim went to the village in order to reach a settlement with a woman who had accused her husband of rape.
However, it is claimed that three guys who were in the woman’s home raped the victim. The official stated that later on, the three of them along with the accused woman doused her in gasoline and lit her ablaze.
The victim, who was being driven to a hospital, was heard on a video that was provided to the police stating that she had been gang-raped before the accused woman and the males set her on fire.
Parihar stated that the footage was given to the police by the victim’s husband, who is currently out on bond in the rape case.
He noted that although the victim had registered her statement with the magistrate, the police had not yet done so and that investigations were still ongoing.
