Prime Minister Narendra Modi Inaugurated Circuit Bench Of Calcutta HC

Mumbai: In a recent development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the long-awaited circuit bench of the Calcutta High Court. As per reports it would help in providing speedy justice to the people of north Bengal.

While inauguration Modi said, “The long-term demand of the people of north Bengal has been met with the inauguration of the circuit bench as they will not have to travel to Kolkata for litigations.”

He said that the bench will provide prompt justice to the people of Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Jalpaiguri and Cooch Bihar in north Bengal.

On the other hand, Narendra Modi also laid the foundation stone for the four-lane of the Falcuta-Salalsbury section of National Highway-31D.

He said that the 41.7 km stretch of national highway falls in Jalpaiguri district and it will be constructed at a cost of about 1938 crores.

This section of the highway will have three railway over bridges, two flyovers, three vehicle underpass, eight major bridges and 17 minor bridges.

Modi said that this will boost socio-economic activities in north Bengal, employment opportunities for local people will open.
