Pune Man Rapes, Impregnates 17-Yr-Old Girl On Promise Of Marriage
Mumbai: A case has been filed after a 23-year-old man from Pune’s Paud allegedly raped and impregnated a 17-year-old girl. During the investigation, it was found that the accused had lured the girl under the pretext of a marriage proposal
It is being told that in the last three months, the accused has carried out the crime several times in different places in the city.
Further investigation revealed that the man had befriended the girl about a year ago. Later he lured her with a marriage proposal.
Earlier this week, the minor girl developed abdominal pain and was rushed to the hospital where it was found that she was pregnant. After this, the victim’s mother lodged a case with the police and recorded the statement of the girl.
An FIR has been registered under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 4, 8 and 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act.
