Pune Reports 194 New COVID19 Cases With Six Deaths

Mumbai: A top state health official said that 194 new positive cases of COVID-19 were reported in Pune on Thursday, while six people died.

District Health Officer (DHO) Dr. Bhagwan Pawar said, “There have been six deaths and 194 new COVID-19 positive cases in Pune district on Thursday.”

“The total positive cases in the district are 3426 and the death toll is 181,” the official said.

India’s most affected coronavirus state, Maharashtra, on Thursday saw 1,602 fresh cases of the novel coronavirus and 44 pieces of evidence.

Maharashtra Health Department said that the total number of cases in the state is 27,524, while 1,019 people have died so far.

Most of the new cases in Maharashtra have come from Mumbai where COVID-19 cases have crossed 16,000.

Meanwhile, India homes to 81,970 positive Covid-19 cases including 51,401 active cases, 27,920 recoveries, and 2,649 fatalities according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
