Punjab Polls: ‘Beware Of Fake Kejriwal,’ Arvind Kejriwal Attacks Charanjit Singh Channi

Kejriwal, who is on a two-day visit to Punjab, promised all women in Punjab who are above 18 years of age would receive ₹ 1,000 every month

Mumbai: Ahead of the 2022 Punjab Assembly Elections, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal took a dig at Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi calling him ‘Fake Kejriwal’ in Punjab.

The Aam Aadmi Party Chief Accused Channi of copying his pre-electoral promises.

“In Punjab, a fake Kejriwal is roaming. Whatever I promise here, he repeats the same. In the entire country, only one man, Kejriwal, can bring down your electricity bill to zero. So beware of that fake Kejriwal,” Kejriwal said in Moga.

Kejriwal, who is on a two-day visit to Punjab, has made promises to the women in the state if they bring AAP to power in Punjab.

He stated all women in Punjab who are above 18 years of age would receive ₹ 1,000 every month, calling it the “biggest such scheme in the world”.

“If we form govt in Punjab in 2022, then we will give every woman of the state, who is above 18 years of age, Rs 1000 per month. If a family has 3 female members then each will get Rs 1000. That’ll be the world’s biggest women empowerment program,” Delhi CM said.

He added, “Every woman in each family will get this…no government has done this before. I know so many women who can’t go to college, now they will be able to do so…Rs. 1,000 is not a lot but this will make thousands of women financially independent.”

Mr Kejriwal was accompanied by AAP Punjab state president and Member of Parliament Bhagwant Mann for ‘Mission Punjab’.
