Rahul Gandhi Ask Modi Govt To ‘Admit Truth’ On China

Mumbai: A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the repeal of three agriculture laws, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi hit out at the government, saying the truth of “Chinese occupation” should also be accepted now.

The Congress has been repeatedly attacking the government for its handling of border tensions with China, accusing it of compromising India’s territorial integrity, a charge denied by the central government.

The truth of “Chinese occupation” should also be admitted now, Gandhi tweeted in Hindi.

The former Congress president has been critical of the Modi government’s dealings with China and has been questioning the government on the situation along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China.

India and China on Thursday agreed to hold the 14th round of military talks at the earliest to achieve the objective of complete disengagement in the remaining friction points along the LAC in eastern Ladakh.

The tension between Delhi and Beijing escalated following a deadly clash in Galwan Valley on June 15 last year.

Each side currently has around 50,000 to 60,000 troops along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the sensitive sector.
