Rahul Gandhi Is Shedding Crocodile Tears For Farmers And Misleading

Mumbai: Union Minister Smriti Irani on Friday launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of lying about the Center’s recent agricultural laws and misleading farmers.

Addressing a farmers rally in his parliamentary constituency Amethi, Irani said, “Rahul Gandhi is lying and misleading farmers. He is shedding crocodile tears for farmers and misleading them, his own Jija brother-in-law (brother-in-law) has encroached upon the land.”

Irani’s attack on Gandhi came amidst protests from farmers at various border points in Delhi against the Center’s recent agricultural laws.

Challenging Gandhi to a debate on peasant issues, Irani asked him to come here among the farmers and claimed that he would expose him for every sin he had committed.

The Union Minister, while addressing a rally in Tiloi’s Sinhapur block as part of a mega exercise by the BJP to reach out to farmers, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday, called ‘Pradhan Mantri’, to provide more than nine crore farmer families with 18,000 Crore. Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN).

Irani said that Gandhi, whom he had defeated in the last parliamentary election, is now showing sympathy towards the farmers, but has himself “grabbed” the farmers’ land.

“Everyone knows the kind of development I did before coming here. This family deliberately kept Amethi and its farmers away from development. They kept misleading them, enjoying the fruits of power sitting in Delhi and Lived in a palace,” she alleged.

Irani alleged that the Gandhi family did not think about Amethi’s development after winning the election.

She also listed various development works undertaken after the BJP formed the government in Delhi.
