Raj Kundra Released From Jail After 2 Months On Being Granted Bail In Porn Videos Case

Raj Kundra was arrested by Mumbai Police on July 9 for involvement in making and distributing pornographic films

Mumbai: Businessman Raj Kundra has been released from the Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai after being granted bail in the porn videos case. He was lodged in jail for around two months after being arrested in July.

The Businessman was arrested on July 9 by Mumbai Police and was at Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai Central. He was named as the ‘key conspirator’ in a porn racket and was being questioned for his connection for streaming the adult content.

A Mumbai court has granted bail to Raj Kundra, on a surety of Rs 50,000. During the initial hearing, Raj and his partner’s bail plea was rejected after which he was taken into judicial custody. He said that he was just a scapegoat and was not actively involved in creating the content.

Mumbai Police had filed a 1500-page charge sheet in the pornographic content case. Raj was charged under Sections 420 (cheating), 34 (common intention), 292 and 293 (related to obscene and indecent advertisements and displays) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), and relevant sections of the IT Act and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.

Actress Shilpa Shetty had admitted that she did not know anything about this. Shilpa chose to maintain her silence and took a break from her work to focus on her family.

She broke down during the shoot of the Dance reality show Super Dancer 4 on Sony TV. Shilpa Shetty is one of the judges on the show.
