Rajasthan Congress Refuses To Accept Rahul’s Resignation

Mumbai: The Rajasthan Congress Executive Committee passed a resolution on Wednesday, stating that the party should not accept the resignation of its President Rahul Gandhi in Lok Sabha elections.

In charge of Rajasthan Congress general secretary, Avinash Pandey told reporters, “The executive committee of the state Congress accepts all the challenges, failures and shortcomings, which caused this mandate.”

He said, “Congress has lost the election, but our courage, commitment to struggle and commitment to our principles is stronger than before,” he said.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Deputy Chief Minister and State Congress President Sachin Pilot were present at the meeting held at the party headquarters here.

Congress Chief Whip Mahesh Joshi also said that all the members of the executive committee expressed confidence in the leadership of Rahul Gandhi and supported CWC’s proposal.

It was the first meeting of the party after facing defeat in all 25 Lok Sabha seats in the state.
