Rajasthan Crisis: BJP Demands CBI Investigation In Rajasthan Audio Tapes Released By Opposition

Mumbai: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has demanded a CBI inquiry into the audio tapes leaked on social media for the last two days.

The Congress has alleged that tapes of MLA Bhanwar Lal Sharma are being recorded in conversation with the BJP to topple the Gehlot government in Rajasthan.

Following which BJP has now demanded a CBI investigation of the audiotapes. On Saturday, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra addressed a press conference and asked, “Is BJP controlling everything? Of course, the sin was not theirs. There was a conspiracy inside his house. We have said that tapes are manufactured. “

“We demand a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into this matter, whether phone tapping was done or SOPs were followed,” said Sambit Patra.

A day earlier, Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala addressed a similar press conference and announced the suspension of two-party MLAs, including Bhanwar Lal Sharma, whose voice is allegedly heard in the audiotapes in which he is having a conversation with Union minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.

Meanwhile, police arrested a man named Sanjay Jain, who was named in the audiotapes and also the FIR lodged by Congress.
