Rajasthan Royals Still In The Game As They Beat Mumbai Indians By 5 Wickets

Mumbai: It was Do or die match for Rajasthan Royals as they have won only 2 matches of their 8 games. Mumbai Indians batting first started off slow as they lost their captain at the early stage of the innings as Shreyas Gopal struck for his team.

Meanwhile, Suryakumar Yadav was facing difficulty in timing the ball due to which pressure on him made to choose a bad shot and lost his wicket to Stuart Binny scored 34 runs off 33 balls.

On the other hand, Quinton De Kock played a good knock of 65 runs of 47 balls but failed to convert it into a big score. Meantime RR presented one of the poor fielding as Jofra Archer dropped three catches one of de Kock and two catches of inform batsman Hardik Pandya. As resulted Mumbai Indians managed to set a par score of 162 runs with the loss of 5 wickets.

Shreyas Gopal bowled his spell very well as he took 2 wickets and provided only 21 runs, following Archer and Jaydev provided 1 wicket with each.

Chasing the target of 162 runs RR started of well scored 55+ runs in power play itself with loss of 1 wicket. Rahane again failed to score due to out of form, later on, Samson which was big wicket for Mumbai Indians.

Missing Buttler from the game the responsibility was on Steve Smith as he was building his innings slowly scored 59* runs off 48 balls and helped his side to registered third win of the season.

RR chased down the target in 19.1 over with 5 balls remaining with the loss of 5 wickets. With this win RR still at seventh position with 6 points. Whereas Mumbai Indians stays at the second position of the table with 12 points.
