Rajnath Singh Criticise’s Telangana Government

Mumbai :  Criticizing the TRS government in Telangana Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh says “proposal to increase reservation to minorities and talking about quotas is all about diverting the people.”

“Development not done. Now to divert public attention, (they) are saying that reservation be given to minorities on the basis of religion,” he said addressing a BJP campaign meeting at Wanaparthy for the December 7 polls.

“I want to ask, if you give reservation to minorities, by cutting whose reservation you will give reservation to minorities ? Such a provision is there in Constitution? Can amendment be made to Constitution?,” Singh added.

Last year the Telangana legislature had passed the bill to enhance the reservation by 12 per cent for Muslims.

He also attacked Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao by saying  “I would like to tell the CM here… Politics should be development and good governance. Not about caste, creed, religion.”

Politics is not just the formation of government it is build for the development of the country, he advised Rao and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

The reason behind the state’s like Telangana and Andhra Pradesh is not developing and the problems between the two states were not getting resolved is “absence of strong political will” Rajnath Singh added.

Later on Singh assured that BJP would waive Rs 2 lakh farm loans if it came to power in the state.
