Rakesh Sharma’s Biopic “Salute” Might Star Fatima Sana Shaikh Opposite SRK

Pune : Just after lead cast of the Rakesh Sharma’s Biopic updated from Aamir Khan to Shah Rukh Khan, next revelation says Fatima Sana Saikh is playing the female lead.

Salute, the Biopic on the astronaut Rakesh Sharma lately got it’s release preponed from May to February 2019. The project has received cast update recently as the makers have came up with a decision of casting Fatima Sana Shaikh alongside the male lead SRK.

However, Fatima was last seen in Thugs of Hindostan with Aamir Khan and Big B which didn’t work quite well in theatres but looking at the actress’ work and urge to work against Shah Rukh, the decision has been made up. Anyhow, as per the reports from Bollywood Hungama, the female lead is still not quite assured and the search is still on. Untill any further updates, Fatima is the consideration.

Shaikh had made a remarkable debut in Dangal with Sanya Malhotra against Aamir Khan and her work in previous venture Thugs Of Hindostan had been in talks quite well.

Meanwhile, Fatima also shared her chronic interest to work against Shah Rukh Khan and how his presence makes her nervous. Previously, many actresses like Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vaani Kapoor were approached for the female lead, for the being, even Bhumi Pednekar was under consideration but all went down.

Movieis a joint production of Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur and is said to release in February.
