Ram Rahim Has No Farm Land In His Name: Sirsa Administration On Parole Request

Mumbai: Haryana Jail Minister KL Panwar said that the parole request of Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, convicted of rape, has been sent to Sirsa district administration, ANI said on Tuesday.

The minister said that action will be taken on the basis of the report.

After which the Sirsa administration has reported that there is no farmland in the name of Ram Rahim. Officials said that Ram Rahim has sought parole for farming in his fields in Sirsa in Haryana for one month.

“Every convict has the right to take parole after one year, he made a request which we sent to the district administration of Sirsa. Further action will be taken on the basis of the report, “said KL Panwar.

Meanwhile, the Haryana Minister appealed for not joining Ram Rahim’s parole request with elections, saying, “If we had such intention we would release him before the Lok Sabha election”. He said that “the government has no such intention”.

After his application for parole for 42 days, the jail superintendent wrote to the district administration of Sirsa. In a letter dated June 18, the officer had asked for a report that it would be possible to release Gurmeet on parole or not.

Ram Rahim is currently lodged at Sunaria jail in Rohtak after being convicted in two rape cases and murder of a journalist.
