RCB Beats KXIP By 17 Runs, Moves To 7th Position For The First Time

Mumbai: Another do or die match for Royal Challengers Bangalore as they have to win each and every game to reach playoffs.

Batting first RCB didn’t get a good start as they lost their captain at a very early stage of the innings managed to score only 13 runs off 8 balls.

Whereas Parthiv Patel played fearlessly scored 43 off just 24 balls but soon lost his wicket to Murgan Ashwin as he failed to read the ball properly.

Meanwhile, Ab De Villiers was building his innings well one the other the RCB was losing it’s wicket continuously Moeen Ali failed to score in his last match of this IPL season for his side whereas Akshdeep Nath out of form failed to contribute.

It was Ab De Villiers who batted so well scored 82 off just 44 balls on the other end Marcus Stoinis supported well 46 runs of 34 balls both had 100 runs partnership due to which RCB managed to set the huge total of 203 runs.

For KXIP each bowler including R Ashwin, Mohammed Shami and Murgan Ashwin provide one wicket with each for their side.

Chasing the target of 203 runs KXIP provided good start by both the openers, but RCB managed to dismiss dangerous batsman Chris Gayle who was looking good with bat scored only 23 runs off 10 balls.

Whereas KL Rahul contributed well 42 off 27 balls but lost his wicket to Moeen Ali failed to convert it into a big score.

With power-packed batting performance of Nicholas Pooran and David Miller it seemed KXIP will easily win this match but…. twist in a game as David Miller lost his wicket in 18.1 over and in same over Pooran also lost his wicket which brought RCB back in the game.

Soon lost captain in last over and RCB registered their 4th win consistently and for the first time moved to 7th position from 8th in the points table with 8 points.

For RCB Umesh Yadav provided 3 wickets in his 4 over spell following Navdeep Saini took 2 wickets.
