Relief to Arvind Kejriwal, Others In case Of Alleged Rioting In Front Of PM’s House In 2012

Mumbai : On Monday Delhi Court released Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and six others in a case of unproven riot in front of the house of Ex-Prime Minister Mr. Manmohan Singh in 2012.

Samar Vishal Chief Metropolitan Magistrate passed the order.

On 26th August, 2012, Kejriwal and others had held an affirmation against coal scam in front of Singh’s house and in order to stop those, water cannons were used following the volunteers becoming violent.

Subsequently, police had fired several rounds of tear gas to driving them off. Manifesting hostile elements attacked the police with flag stick. The barricade was destroyed along with certain plants, the police said.

Arvind Kejriwal and the other six people were booked under Section 147 (rioting), 148 (rioting armed with deadly weapon) and 149 (every member of unlawful assembly guilty of offence committed in prosecution of common object) of the Indian Penal Code.

All the accused were represented in the court by advocate Mohd Irshad.

Other than Kejriwal, court even gave a relief to Ghan Shyam, Mahesh, Deepak Chhabra, Ranjit Bisht, Amit Kumar Singh and Gautam Kumar Singh.
