Requested Nusrat Numerous Times To Get Marriage Registered, She avoided: Nikhil Jain

Mumbai: According to Zee News, Businessman Nikhil Jain, responding to actress-politician Nusrat Jahan’s statement on their marriage being invalid in India, said, “We lived together as husband and wife.”

In a statement accessed by Zee News, Jain said that “During our stay together I requested her on a number of occasions to get the marriage registered but she avoided my requests.”

His remarks come after, Nusrat Jahan recently issued an official statement about the ongoing marital discord and made some important revelations in it.

He wrote, “I proposed Nusrat which she happily accepted and we went to Bodrum, Turkey in June 2019 for a destination marriage followed by a reception in Kolkata.”

Jain claimed that even though he devoted all his time to her, his attitude towards her changed in no time.

“While shooting for a film from August 2020 onwards, my wife’s attitude towards me started changing, which she knew best,” he said.

According to her statement, he had requested her several times to register her marriage, but he turned down all her requests.

He revealed, “On November 2020, she left my flat with her personal values, bags and luggage along with papers and documents and shifted to her Ballygunge flat and after that we never got together after being husband and wife. The rest of her personal belongings along with the documents (IT returns etc) were also sent to her shortly after her shifting.”

Later, on March 8, 2021, he filed a Civil Suit against her in Alipore Judges’ Court for annulment of their marriage.

He concluded the statement by saying that, “After marriage, to get her released from the heavy interest burden for a home loan, I had the same liquidated by transferring money from my family accounts to her account. Any money transfer made by her from her account to my family account was repayments of the loan. The allegations made by her are all baseless and derogatory and devoid of truth. One need not find or create a proof, the proof is always there, my bank statements and credit card statements are proof enough. My family has only given with both arms to her in the capacity of a daughter, not knowing, we would see this day.”
