Mumbai: Officials said that a team of Indian Air Force, Army and some civilian mountaineers was airlifted to a place near an accident of AN-32 aircraft in Arunachal Pradesh on Wednesday so that the survivors could be searched.
The debris of the Indian Air Force AN-32 aircraft was spotted on Tuesday in an intensive hilly terrain by an IAF Mi-17 helicopter, eight days after the flight disappeared with 13 people.
A spokesperson of the Air Force said, “A team of the Indian air force, army and civilian mountaineers has been sent to a place close to the accident site.”

The plane’s disappearance and debris of the aircraft were seen on Tuesday at the height of 12,000 feet north of the Lipo area.
The Russian-origin AN-32 aircraft was going from Jorhat in Assam to Menchuka advanced landing ground near the border with China on June 3 when it lost contact with ground staff at 1 pm, within 33 minutes of taking off.
The IAF said that attempts to establish the position of those living in any of the worst accidents involving a military platform in recent years may be very bleak due to the possibility of survival.
“The proud and highly patriotic people of the state have worked tirelessly to help the IAF for a national cause,” said the spokesperson.
