Mumbai: Following the heat wave observed by most of the places in Central India, Churu city of Rajasthan sustained the highest temperature of 50°C on 26th May.
“Maximum temperature of 50°C was recorded in Churu, it is the highest recorded temperature in the country for the day”, said Ravindra Sihag, Scientist at India Meteorological Department (IMD),
The same temperature was recorded in the Jacobabad city of Pakistan on the same day. Churu and Jacobabad marked the hottest places on Earth on Tuesday.

Churi is also known as the Gateway of Thar Desert and is one of the hottest temperature receiving cities in India.
