Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the rule of law is the foundation of social values ​​in India and every Indian has faith in the judiciary.

Speaking at the International Judicial Conference here, PM Modi said, “In Indian society, the rule of law is the foundation of social values. Law is the king of kings, the law is supreme. That is why every Indian has a belief. Judiciary. ”

“Recently, there have been some important judicial decisions that were subject to the global discussion. Prior to these decisions, many concerns were being expressed about the consequences, but 1.3 billion Indians wholeheartedly accepted these judicial decisions,” he said.

Prime Minister Modi also spoke about the relationship of Mahatma Gandhi and his ideals with the judiciary. “The life of the venerable Mahatma Gandhi was devoted to truth and service, considered to be the foundation of the judiciary. He was a barrister himself. He has written in great detail about his first autobiography which he fought.”

Modi said that the judicial conference was taking place at a “great moment for India” as the nation is celebrating the 150 birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
