‘Sacrifice Of Galwan Bravehearts Won’t Go In Vain: General MM Naravane

Mumbai: India on Friday marked the 73rd Army Day to commemorate the first Indian Army Chief to take over from the British Army on 15th of 1949 and COAS General MM Naravane extended his heartfelt greetings to the soldiers and their families, but a powerful message to India Also given.

Recognizing that this had been a year of challenges, the army chief aroused the sentiment of the soldiers and said that the force had remained steadfast in protecting the security and territorial integrity of the nation.

“Our brave officers, JCOs and soldiers, while living their lives in the highest traditions of the Indian Army, have given a befitting reply to our opponents,” he said.

Referring to China and Pakistan, General Narwane said, ” While remaining committed to resolving disputes through dialogue and diplomacy, the Indian Army has been swift and decisive in its response to counter any attempts to unilaterally change the status quo on the Line of Actual Control. Relentless operations against state-sponsored terrorism have reinforced moral and operational ascendancy along the Line of Control

The Army Chief said that the Army is taking fast steps to acquire new capabilities and a large number of projects are underway to acquire better technology.

“The Indian Army holds a special place in the hearts and minds of our citizens. I am ready to continue my core values ​​and ethos and live up to the trust placed on us by the nation. The Indian Army will always be strong and capable, ”said General Naravane.
