SC Panel Report Saying Delhi Exaggerated Oxygen Demand Doesn’t Exist: Manish Sisodia

New Delhi: Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia has said that the Supreme Court panel report claiming Delhi “exaggerated” its oxygen demand during the second COVID-19 wave, “doesn’t exist at all”.

“There is no such report. We have spoken to the members of the Oxygen Audit Committee constituted by the Supreme Court. They said they have not signed or approved any such report. The BJP is presenting a false report prepared at its party headquarters. I challenge them to submit a report signed by the members of the Oxygen Audit Committee,” Sisodia said.

By doing so, the BJP is not abusing Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, but “those who have lost their family members due to lack of oxygen when the coronavirus cases were at a peak”, he said and accused the Union government of mismanagement “which led to the oxygen crisis”.

“Are all those hospitals lying who sent out SOS calls for oxygen? Are all the relatives of those who died due to oxygen shortage lying? Or are those lying who are there in the court claiming shortage of oxygen?” Sisodia asked.

Sisodia claimed that the state government talked to the members of the SC panel and they said they have not signed or approved any such report. He asked about the origin of the report if the members have not approved or signed any such report.

Delhi was hit severely by a brutal second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in April and May, claiming a massive number of lives daily, with a shortage in oxygen supply at various city hospitals adding to the woes.
