Schools To Remain Closed As Water Level Raisen After Heavy Rain Hits Madhya Pradesh

Mumbai: Normal life disrupted after heavy rains hit Madhya Pradesh, administration to keep the schools closed on Monday.

In view of heavy rains in the district, all government and private schools in Bhopal district will remain closed today.

Similar measures have been taken in other districts such as Raisen, Vidisha and Mandla.

Raisen district collector Umashankar Bhargava announced that all schools in Raisen will remain closed in view of the alert issued by the Meteorological Department. It has been raining continuously for the last 24 hours in various parts of the district.

In Vidisha, District Collector Kaushalendra Vikram Singh said that all government, private and government-aided schools will be closed on Monday due to heavy rains and waterlogging.

According to Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected at Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Gujarat State, Madhya Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya and isolated places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura
