Mumbai: Indian security forces have not only kept Pakistan’s nefarious activities confined to the borders but are also giving them a befitting reply, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh told the Rajya Sabha on Monday.
During the Question Hour, the Minister also informed the House that 11 Rafale fighter jets have arrived in the country and the number will reach 17 by March this year.
Singh said that the entire fleet of fighter jets would arrive in the country by April 2022.
Replying to a question regarding ceasefire violation from Pakistan, he said, “There is no doubt about the kind of action that our army has taken. I want to make it clear that our army has taken action, Pakistan’s action is limited to borders only.”
He said that the Indian Army, BSF and other security forces should be congratulated.
Violating the ceasefire in 2020, Singh said that the Indian security forces are fully alert and giving a befitting reply to Pakistan’s nefarious act.
Singh also told the House that the government has decided that 101 defence related items will be manufactured in India and not imported.
