Sena MP Arvind Sawant Announces His Resignation From His Ministry Post

Mumbai: Shiv Sena MP Arvind Sawant who is Union Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises after 2019 announced today that he will resign from his ministerial post, “Shiv Sena is on the side of Truth. In such an atmosphere, why I should be in the central government. I am giving resignation from my ministerial post. I will do a press conference today at 11 am for the same,” he tweeted.

BJP cleared that they will not form the government with the ally who changed the election of assembly polls. This comes after an ongoing tussle between BJP-Shiv Sena over govt formation in Maharashtra.

As per Shiv Sena, there was a 50-50 decided for CM post but BJP refuses it. Later which become the major issue between them and till now the government has not been formed.

The NDA alliance ‘Mayayuti’ had received an absolute majority in Maharashtra after the BJP won 105 and Shiv Sena bagged 56 seats in the 288-member Maharashtra Assembly. Later, NCP was planning to offer them for the ally with their party at the condition of 50-50 CM post but later on, there were no updates and the CM Devendra Fadanvis resigned from his post.

While talking to ANI the senior NCP leader Nawab Malik said, “BJP has expressed its inability to form the government in Maharashtra. If the Shiv Sena wants support from the NCP, they will have to announce that they have severed all their relations with the BJP and their ministers in the Central government resign as well.”

NCP has 54 MLAs while its alliance partner Congress which bagged 44 seats in Assembly polls.
