‘Sena Not Going Anywhere’: Sanjay Raut After Uddhav Thackeray Calls Raosaheb Danve ‘Future Friend’

Mumbai: Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut on Saturday ruled out any possibility of an alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and said the Shiv Sena does not stab anyone in the back as the party works on its commitments.

“Maharashtra government has committed to be in power for five years. Shiv Sena works on its commitments. If anyone’s feeling joyous over CM’s (future friend) remarks, let it be for three years. Shiv Sena does not stab anyone in the back,” ANI quoted Raut as saying. Also Read: There’s Only One Modi Ji, There Will Be No One Like Him: Sanjay Raut

His clarification comes after Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s ‘friend of the future’ remarks for Union minister and senior BJP leader Raosaheb Danve, fueled political speculation.

“We need to understand what CM said. He meant to say that some people from BJP might come to Maha Vikas Aghadi. We won’t go anywhere,” Raut further added, news agency ANI quoted. Also Read: Rahul Gandhi Cannot Defeat PM Narendra Modi, Interesting Pitch Of Mamata’s Lawmaker

CM Uddhav Thackeray had on Friday addressed leaders including Union Minister Raosaheb Danve, former and potential “future allies” at a function, prompting speculation whether political reforms were underway in the state.

The Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena broke ties with the BJP after the 2019 assembly elections and formed the government with the NCP and Congress.
