Shikhar Dhawan Ruled Out Against WI, Sanju Samson Named Replacement

Mumbai: After back to back series win India is all set to take on West Indies. Well in the recent development, in the upcoming series Opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan has been ruled out as he suffered a deep cut on his left knee during a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy game against Maharashtra in Surat.

Meanwhile, All-India Senior Selection Committee has named Sanju Samson as Dhawan’s replacement for the T20I series.

On the other hand, wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha sustained a fracture on his right ring during the recently concluded Pink Ball Test in Kolkata against Bangladesh. The BCCI medical team consulted an arm and wrist specialist and it was suggested that Saha undergoes surgical fixation of the fracture. Subsequently, he underwent successful surgery in Mumbai on Tuesday and would soon start his rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy, Bengaluru.
