Shiv Sainik Leader Will Become CM Of Maharashtra One Day: Uddav Thackeray

Mumbai: Ahead of Maharashtra Assembly Elections Shiv Sena Chief Uddav Thackeray expressed confidence that a Sena worker would one day become the state’s chief minister.

In an interview with Shiv Sena mouthpiece  ‘Saamana’, he claimed that his party had kept a check on the ‘Modi wave’ in the 2014 state assembly elections, but still, there was no point in the discussion that he would join this with the BJP…

This time, the Shiv Sena is contesting 124 out of a total of 288 constituencies in alliance with the BJP, which has nominated candidates for 150 seats. The remaining seats will be allotted to smaller allies from the BJP quota.

Uddhav Thackeray said in an interview, “One day, a Shiv Sainik will become the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, a promise that I made to my father and the founder of the army, the late Balasaheb.”

Aditya Thackeray is entering electoral politics from Worli constituency in Mumbai, and the state elections to be held on October 21 are seen as a litmus test for the party, whether it wins the public mandate. To focus on the popularity of the young leader.

“Aaditya contesting the Assembly election does not necessarily mean I am retiring from active politics. I am very much around,” he said.

“I am not going to do farming,” he said sarcastically, in an apparent reference to NCP leader Ajit Pawar who recently resigned as an MLA and advised his son to prefer farming or business over politics.

He also claimed that in 2014, when the Shiv Sena and BJP severed ties before the assembly elections, his party put a stop to the ‘Modi wave’ which devastated the country.

He said, “There is no point in discussing the reasons for the BJP and the Shiv Sena (2014 election) contesting separate elections. It was a war. There was a ‘wave’ at the national level, but we stopped it in Maharashtra Granted. ” said.

“Despite being in power, we have always raised voice for the cause of the common man,” he added.
