Mumbai: Maharashtra minister Eknath Shinde said the Shiv Sena’s order to all its MLAs to attend a meeting scheduled for 5 pm on Wednesday at CM Uddhav Thackeray’s residence is legally invalid.

“Shiv Sena MLA Shri Bharat Gogavale has been appointed as the Chief Representative of Shiv Sena Legislature. Earlier, Prabhu had written a letter to all the MLAs of the party demanding to attend the meeting called by the party. The letter further states that if an MLA fails to attend the meeting without prior permission, it will be deemed that the member himself has decided to leave the party.

The letter also warned that if someone skipped the meeting without any prior permission, then stern action will be initiated against them while cancelling their membership in the party as per the constitution.
