Right-Hand Batsman Ambati Rayudu Declares His Retirement From All Formats Of Cricket

Mumbai: A shocking news for all Indian cricket fans, as team India’s right-hand batsmen Ambati Thirupathi Rayudu declared his retirement from all format of cricket.

The move comes after Rayudu was snubbed by the Indian team management who preferred Mayank Agarwal as a replacement for an injured Vijay Shankar in the World Cup squad.

Rayudu was in the stand-by list for the World Cup, but even after Shikhar Dhawan and Shankar injured, he failed to fly as a selector and the team management chose Rishabh Pant and Agrawal as the repetition.

However, Ambati Rayudu has not told the reason for his retirement but has decided to hang his shoes. Many people felt that Rayudu did not Tweet the 3D glass after the announcement of Squad, he will now be in England.

Many people sympathized with him on social media, while some trolled to not take the cricketer into the team.

He eventually made his international debut in July 2013, in an ODI against Zimbabwe. In November 2018, he announced his retirement from first-class cricket, to focus on limited-overs cricket. On July 3 2019, he announced his retirement from all forms of cricket.

In 55 ODIs, Rayudu scored 1694 runs with three centuries and 10 half-centuries at an average of 47.05. In the six T20Is he played, the middle-order batsman scored 42 runs. Rayudu never got a chance to represent India in Test cricket.

Rayudu made a comeback to the Indian team on the basis of a successful IPL for Chennai Super Kings and was seen as the number four batsman of India who went to the World Cup. However, despite being named in the list of players reserved for the World Cup, Raidu was not the first choice.
