Mumbai: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi slammed the central government led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the International Monetary Fund (IMF) compares India’s per capita gross domestic product (GDP) to neighboring Bangladesh.
Gandhi, through his tweet, attributed the decline in India’s numbers to the BJP’s political agenda, which he said has been done in the six years of his rule at the Center.
“Solid achievement of 6 years of BJP’s hate-filled cultural nationalism: Bangladesh set to overtake India,” Gandhi said.

Sharing a projection by the IMF-World Economic Outlook, Gandhi said that Bangladesh’s per capita GDP could overtake India in the coming years.
The IMF graph states that the GDP per capita of both India and Bangladesh will be USD 1,888 for 2020.
