‘Special COVID Fee’ Imposed On Liquor By Odisha Govt, Home Delivery Allowed

Mumbai: The Odisha government has given permission for Home delivery of Liquor in the state from tomorrow.

The Excise department said that home delivery of liquor by existing ON and OFF shop licensees on Indian-made foreign liquor and Beer will start from Sunday, however, no excise licensees have been allowed to sell liquor on their premises.

“Special COVID fee” of 50% over and above has been imposed by the Odisha government on liquor.

Timing of Home delivery is from morning 7 am to evening 6 pm. Rs 100 will be charged for home delivery for purchase of Rs 1000. And it will increase by Rs 25 for an additional 500 rupees.

People can order through Phone/Whatsapp/ email etc. And the revised list of MRP will be displayed on the OBSC website.

There will be no delivery in Containment zones.
