Sreesanth’s Wife Writes Open Letter To BCCI, says “Injustice anywhere is threat to Justice everywhere”

Mumbai : Shanthakumaran Sreesanth a former Indian pace bowler who is currently facing a life time ban from playing cricket from BCCI, for his involvement in spot-fixing in 2013 IPL season.

Sreesanth who is an contestant on the popular reality show, Bigg Boss in 2018 revealed that he considered committing suicide after the controversy broke out in 2013. Sreesanth said that he was accused of spot-fixing for a sum of Rs 10 lakh.

Meanwhile Sreesanth’s wife Bhuvneshwari has written an open letter to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), seeking their ‘support’ for him to get ‘justice’.

In an open letter Bhuvneshwari has written that “A person who has throughout his life believed in giving and donating, would not stop to a level of bringing shame to a nation and put full stop to his cricketing career.”

On 13 September 2013, Sreesanth and Ankeet Chavan were banned for life by BCCI’s disciplinary committee. In July 2015, he was acquitted in the spot-fixing case. On 18 October 2017, Kerela High restored the life ban on Sreesanth.

The player also expressed that how he use to get suicide thoughts is his mind everytime. He was depressed about seeing his career fall apart and also stated he was innocent and didn’t take part in any corrupted activity.
