Stong Government Can Choose Election, IPL Together: PM Modi In 1st Press Conference

Mumbai: For the first time ever in last five years and few minutes before the end of the election campaign for the seventh and final phase of Lok Sabha elections, 2019, BJP organized a press conference at the party headquarters in the national capital. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, party president Amit Shah, among others were present in the briefing.

Addressing the press conference for the first time, PM Modi completed five years of his government and said, “In the last two elections, even the IPL could not be held. When the government is strong, IPL, Ramzan, school exams and others are in peace.”

Expressing the faith that the BJP will come back to power, the Prime Minister said, “It will happen in the country after a long time, our government will come to power with the full majority for the second consecutive time.”

Meanwhile, BJP president Amit Shah expressed confidence that the party will return to power with greater differences. Shah said, “Since independence, these elections were the largest for the BJP,” claiming to have good results in the 2019 general elections.

“We started our election campaign from January 16 … Our goal was to win 120 Lok Sabha seats, which we could not win last time. We believe we will get good results, “said the BJP president.

In the last five years, giving a report card of the Modi government’s performance, Shah mentioned development and national security. “The Narendra Modi government has started 133 schemes for the upliftment of all sections of the society,” he said.
